HP laptop batteries due to defects in the incident was fined $ 425,000

CPSC said that as of September 2007,HP ProBook 4431S battery HP has received about 22 cases and issues related to battery defect report, conceal the problem but not reported up to 10 months.
CPSC deal with Hewlett-Packard agreed resolution, said: “defects in at least two battery-related events, the defective product to the consumer’s body and causing injury; in which at least one incident, the consumer was taken to hospital for treatment.”
